Trekking in Bhutan is unlike anywhere else in the Himalayas. The treks in Bhutan combining with tours are long and arduous but they are complemented by the pristine atmosphere and Himalayan views. The trails pass through ancient trade routes, green meadows, yak grazing lands, mountains and valleys adorned with tall rhododendron trees bursting with pink and red flowers far away from the main towns. Unlike in other Asian countries, the villagers and the cattle are the only occasional traffic you come across along the trail. If you are lucky you will come across hairy yaks graze; elusive blue sheep and takins galloping on mountain slopes. You will also pass through the villages of nomadic yak herders and be captivated by their closet rustic lifestyle.
